Investment Instruments:
Common equity, convertible debt, convertible preferred equity, participating debt, participating preferred equity.

Target Countries:
Primary - Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Zambia.
Secondary - Ethiopia, South & North Sudan, Malawi, Zimbabwe

Target Investee Maturity Profile:
Early-stage, intermediate-stage and later-stage companies; greenfields on a highly selective basis.

Investment Amounts:
US$ 1.5m - US$ 8m per investee, over the life of the Fund

Target Average Investment Holding Period:
5 – 8 years

Target Investment Profile:
Significant minority to majority stakes, with Board participation rights
